KPI Matrix is a flexible, intuitive and powerful custom Power BI KPI card visual. Conveniently create and format multiple KPI cards at once. Use the matrix layout to visualize relationships, or to show different key performance indicators in one visual. Use minichartcharts and conditional formatting to improve informative value.
KPI Matrix enables you to conveniently create and design multiple KPI cards using a row, column or matrix layout.
Choosing the matrix, users can, just like with the standard matrix visual, visualize relationships of data with two different dimensions at once, or the relationship of two dimensions to each other. KPI Matrix is a matrix made of single KPI cards, descriptive texts or images being the row and column headers.
Each card in the matrix shows an actual value and optionally its target value (or any other two kinds of measures compared to each other) as well as an indicator visualizing the difference. There are three indicators to choose from: indicative arrow/triangle, text color or background color.
Two minichartchart styles can further enhance the informative value of each card by displaying current or historical trends of actual and target values as well as the difference between them. The drill function enables users to increase or decrease the minichart chart's level of detail.
The background color of each card can also serve as an actual/target indicator. Furthermore, it can, conditionally colored, turn the whole matrix into a heatmap.
All cards, including the ones in the row or column headers allow the selection of data points to set a filter or highlighting for other visuals on the same page. Hide the headers and put column or row captions or images as title on the card to get cards that look like single KPI cards, but can be used to filter data in the report.
