Data
Without data mapped to it the visual looks like this:
At least an "Actual value" data field has to be assigned. The value will show on a single card and the formatting options will become visible (see Formatting).
All data fields explained:
Row - Text, numeric or image type data field. Displayed as row header of the matrix.
Column - Text, numeric or image type data field. Displayed as column header of the matrix.
Minichart - Any type data field. Used for x-axis of the minichart. Elements will be ordered as defined in data set.
Actual value - main measure to be shown on KPI card.
Target value - second measure that the first measure is being compared to, e.g. target values.
Each category (row, column, etc.) that has a data field assigned to it, will be active and visible in the visual. In addition, when a field is assigned to the minichart, the actual and target figures on the card will change from showing the total of the card's underlying data to representing the last of the respective actual and target values.
